The Royal University of Bhutan and Bhutan Telecom launched a Blockchain-based Digital Certificate System today.
This is the first blockchain application developed in the country and a major milestone in the digitization of certificates of the graduates of the RUB. The records of the students will be stored on the blockchain, which will provide enhanced security and immutability.
RUB intends to roll out the system in a phased manner, and BT will be training the ICT officers of RUB on blockchain technology.
